I’ve added five more seasons to the NFL ratings archive. Rankings are now available for every season from 1996 through 2025, giving the site 30 consecutive seasons of NFL history.

Each newly added season includes Power Ratings, Elo Ratings, Adjusted Scoring ratings for offense and defense, Quarterback Efficiency Ratings, and Scrimmage Performance Ratings for running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends.

Newly added NFL seasons

2000: Baltimore’s defense dominates

Baltimore capped a defense-driven championship season with a 34-7 win over the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV. The Ravens finished first in my Power Ratings and Adjusted Defense. St. Louis remained the league’s top-rated Adjusted Offense.

Jeff Garcia leads the Quarterback Efficiency Ratings. Marshall Faulk again ranks first among running backs, Derrick Alexander leads the wide receivers, and Tony Gonzalez tops the tight ends in the Scrimmage Performance Ratings.

1999: The Greatest Show on Turf arrives

St. Louis completed its remarkable turnaround by defeating Tennessee 23-16 in Super Bowl XXXIV. The Rams finished first in both my Power Ratings and Adjusted Offense, while Tampa Bay’s defense earned the top Adjusted Defense rating.

Kurt Warner leads the Quarterback Efficiency Ratings, and teammate Marshall Faulk tops the running backs. Marcus Robinson ranks first among wide receivers, while Wesley Walls leads the tight ends in the Scrimmage Performance Ratings.

1998: A second straight title for Denver

The Broncos repeated as champions with a 34-19 victory over Atlanta in Super Bowl XXXIII. Denver again finished first in my Power Ratings, but Minnesota’s record-setting scoring attack led the Adjusted Offense ratings and Miami ranked first in Adjusted Defense.

Steve Young holds the top spot in the Quarterback Efficiency Ratings for the second consecutive season. Terrell Davis leads the running backs, Eric Moulds tops the wide receivers, and Shannon Sharpe ranks first among tight ends in the Scrimmage Performance Ratings.

1997: Denver breaks through

Denver defeated defending champion Green Bay 31-24 in Super Bowl XXXII, earning the franchise its first championship. The Broncos finished first in both my Power Ratings and Adjusted Offense, while Kansas City led the Adjusted Defense ratings.

Steve Young tops the Quarterback Efficiency Ratings. Barry Sanders leads the running backs after a 2,358-yard season from scrimmage, while Yancey Thigpen ranks first among wide receivers and Rickey Dudley leads the tight ends in the Scrimmage Performance Ratings.

1996: Green Bay returns to the top

The 1996 season ended with Green Bay defeating New England 35-21 in Super Bowl XXXI, giving the Packers their first NFL championship since Super Bowl II. Green Bay also finished first in my Power Ratings, Adjusted Offense, and Adjusted Defense.

Mark Brunell leads the season’s Quarterback Efficiency Ratings, followed by Steve Young and Vinny Testaverde. The Scrimmage Performance Ratings are led by Terrell Davis at running back, Jake Reed at wide receiver, and Shannon Sharpe at tight end.
