Colorado was the best team in the regular season by far. So by all NHL logic, you would assume that they would have been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. But no, Colorado started the playoffs just like they did the regular season, and they won 8 of 9 games to advance to the Western Conference finals. It was only then that the curse of being the best team caught up with them. Vegas has dominated the series against Colorado in the first three games of the series and looks to close Colorado out tonight.
The Eastern Conference finals is looking to be a war. Carolina has gained control of the series, going up 2 games to 1, with each of the last two games going to overtime. Montreal has to be kicking themselves for not being able to get a win in the either of those games.
