Conference tournaments are over. It’s time for the Big Dance! DII and DIII have already started their tournament. I’m going to have to disagree with my rankings. Florida is the best team in the country at this moment.
NCAA Division I
The tournament kicks off tonight with two games. The first game is between a pair of 16 seeds: St. Francis (#289, 16-17) and Alabama State (#252, 19-15). The second game is between a couple of 11 seeds: North Carolina (#39, 22-13) and San Diego State (#44, 21-9).
Wednesday night features two more games. Another 16 seed matchup between Mount St. Mary’s (#189, 22-12) and American (#206, 22-12) and another 11 seed matchup between Xavier (#53, 21-11) and Texas (#48, 19-15).
NCAA Division II
In the West Region, #1 seed Point Loma (#9, 29-5) fell to #2 seed Cal State Dominion Hills (#21, 28-5) in a Third Round matchup last night.
Tonight, a huge third round matchup takes place in the South Region as (1)Nova Southeastern (#1, 32-1) takes on (2)Alabama Huntsville (#2, 32-1). These are my top two ranked schools in Division II.
