Position Rankings

I’ve added a new report this week. I’m now ranking qualified players by their position for each league. Surprisingly, only four American League catchers have enough plate appearances to qualify at this time.

You can find the position rankings here.

Team Rankings

We have reached the triple digit mark in games played for the teams. The Dodgers and Brewers are still leading the way. The Red Sox are the hottest team in baseball and have climbed into my top 10. I didn’t see the Rays, White Sox, Pirates and Nationals in my top 10 at the end of July when the season started, but here we are.

Rank Team Wins Losses Runs Runs Allowed Run Differential Rating

Batting

Who would have predicted the Nationals and Pirates would be the top two offenses in the league? I didn’t see that coming at all. The Cubs, Dodgers and Yankees round out the top five.

Yordan Alvarez continues to remain the best hitter, and has stretched lead over James Wood since the All-Star break. Pete Crow-Armstrong, Ben Rice and CJ Abrams round out my top five.

Pitching

The Brewers have opened up a larger gap between first and second in the team pitching. The Yankees have passed the Dodgers for second place. The Mariners and Tigers round out the top five.

Jacob Misiorowski continues to dominate the league. Ohtani hasn’t pitched since before the All-Star break but holds down second. His teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto has risen all the way to the third spot, follwed by the gracious Zack Wheeler. And another Dodger, Justin Wrobleski, rounds out the top five.
