Team Rankings
The 2026 baseball season is flying by. This is the last week before the All-Star break. The Dodgers, Brewers and Braves lead the National League. The Yankees and Rays lead the American League. Other surprise teams this year include the Marlins and White Sox.

Batting
The Yankees took a nose dive this week and fall from first to fourth in my TOP rankings for batting. The Dodgers are now the top team in the league by TOP batting. The Nationals are close behind in second. And the Pirates hold onto third. The Cubs are in fifth place, and the Rockies, Marlins, White Sox, Twins and Brewers round out the top 10.
Yordan Alvarez is trying to duplicate what Aaron Judge did last year. He’s been my top hitter nearly the entire season so far. Kyle Schwarber actually holds onto the number two spot this week. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto fall out of my rankings due to not enough plate appearances. Nick Kurtz remains in the third spot, with Byron Buxton and Ben Rice rounding out the top 5. Shohei Ohtani, James Wood, Corbin Carroll, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Mike Trout finish off the top 10.

Pitching
The Brewers have finally overtaken the Dodgers as the top ranked pitching staff due to the rough week by the Dodgers pitchers. Seattle slides up into the third spot, while the Yankees slip to fourth. The Braves, Tigers, Red Sox, Marlins, Mets and Rays round out the top 10.
Shohei Ohtani will win the MVP award, but he probably won’t win the Cy Young Award. He’s only the second best pitcher in baseball behind Jacob Misiorowski. Ohtani’s teammates Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Justin Wrobleski come in at third and fourth this week. Cristopher Sánchez rounds out the top 5.
