Team Rankings
The Dodgers are on top after the first month. They’re a complete team. The Braves are back to their winning ways after taking the 2025 season off. The Yankees look to be pretty complete this year getting a lot of pitching to go with their hitting. Are the Cubs back? So far, they’re off to their best start since their championship season. San Diego will continue to be a thorn in the side of the Dodgers, keeping them honest once again. The rest of the top 10 consist of familiar names and surprises. Who would have Pittsburgh in their top 10 after the first month? Not me. I hope they continue to play good baseball. That stadium deserves a good team!

Batting
Shohei Ohtani has yet to really get on track, but the Dodgers still have the best offense in baseball. The Yankees come in at #2 behind the hitting of Ben Rice and Aaron Judge. The Cubs are #3 even with Pete Crow-Armstrong struggling. The Astros are #4 with Yordan Alvarez leading the way. The Braves are #5 with Matt Olson providing the most offense so far. The Angels are #6 due to a resurgence from Mike Trout. Baseball is better when he is healthy. The Tigers come in at #7. They are followed by the Diamondbacks, Nationas and Rays.

Pitching
The Yankees are my top ranked pitching staff so far, with the Pirates and Dodgers in second and third. They are followed by the Braves, Mets, Brewers, Padres, Rangers, Mariners and Cubs.
José Soriano is off to an incredible start this season. While Ohtani is struggling at the plate, by his standards, he is off to a great start pitching coming in at #2. The Yankees #1 ranking is due in strong part to #3 Cam Schlittler and #4 Max Fried. Paul Skenes had that terrible opening day start, in part to O’Neill Cruz, but he is back to his normal form since.
