The day is here! The most exciting two days of sports starts today with the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. Oh I know, it really started Tuesday. But the final 64 is now set as of today. Lets break it down.

South Region

Probably the toughest region. Seven schools are ranked in my top 20. It appears to me that Iowa State is seeded too high, while Michigan and Louisville are seeded too low. If Louisville can get by Creighton, they could be a threat to Auburn, especially the way Auburn has been playing recently.

Sixty four games have been played. And we’re down to the final two teams. It doesn’t always come down to the two best teams but this year it does. Purdue and UConn have probably been the two best teams all year. UConn is trying to defend it’s title and become the first school since Florida to repeat. Purdue is trying to do what UVA did a few years back: The second number 1 seed to lose in the first round and come back and win the whole thing the next year. This game is also somewhat of a throwback because each team has a really good big man.
